macOS Monterey 12.1 发布， Universal Control 被延期到“this spring”

macOS 12.1 并没有加入 Universal Control ，而 Apple 官网上 Universal Control 的状态更新成了 Available this spring.

@Mirage09 这个是文化的差异。之前我有一次在一个周六去 dealer 预约做 service ，我跟他说的时间是 “next Monday”，我心想的是两天后的周一。结果我周一去了，他们说没有看到你今天的预约，你的预约在一个周以后。我说怎么会呢，我周六来的时候说的”next Monday”呀，他们说，那没问题呀，你在周六的时候的”next Monday”就是在一个周以后的 Monday 。我当时满脸问号…
后来发现，比如一个时间已经过去了，哪怕它还在当前的“时间轮回”里面，它就不能被叫做“this xxx”，而在这种语境下，“this xxx”一般指的是“coming xxx”。 当然，在美国这边也不知道对方是不是美国人，所以最为稳妥避免歧义的办法是后面加上具体的表示。对于“this spring”这个来说，最没有歧义的办法就是“spring 2022”。 |

@tianshilei1992 我一般跟人约 service 都会具体确定日期...
另外我也觉得 Spring 2022 才是没有歧义的表达 |

12.1 能把现有的 bug 修一下就差不多了，马上进入圣诞+新年假期，今年就结束了。
12.2 或 12.3 应该能上线了，乐观估计 12.2 beta 就能放出来测试了 |

应该说 next/last weekday 在各个语言文化下的解读是不一样的. 为了避免误解, 应该尽量避免使用这样的表述.

@tianshilei1992 如果是周日的 next Monday ，隔一周还情有可原。周六的话就是两天以后没毛病。

苹果要是有勇气说明年 macOS 不发大版本了，我就敬 Craig 还是条汉子。你说连 AirDrop 这种已经做好的功能，这么多年体验都越来越差，是怎么有脸拿出来吹的？为了照顾其他品牌喷子的情绪，目前的用户就不重要了呗？统战价值拉满了属于是。

@xuegy this Monday 指的是“接下来的周一”，next Monday 就是相对于 this Monday 之后的“下一个周一”，和现在是周六周日无关。如果说成 Monday next week 就是下周周一。

@astrophys 不是接下来的周一，而是本周的周一，即使今天周二，this Monday 也是昨天。'Next Monday' is Monday of next week. 'This Monday' is Monday of this week.

@astrophys 我刚问了组里老美，土生土长宾州白人，他说 typically, this = this week, next=next week, it's the dealer's problem.

This spring 硬要说的话也能讲得通，比如按美国的财年算法，或者学校的春季学期，用 this 也不会有歧义。

@xuegy 谁说个日期还要管美国的财年算法、学校学制啊😂 如果现在是周六周日说 this Monday ，我肯定认为是下周周一，如果说 this Monday I did blabla ，我能 get 到说的是过去的那个周一，但是觉得有点别扭。如果现在是周二周三，说 this Monday ，我就会让对方确认下是哪个 Monday 。所以本身会比较模糊，要看语境。
而且你只 sample 了一个老美，兼听则明嘛，随便找了个说法： https://crofsblogs.typepad.com/english/2006/10/this_monday_or_.html 。我自己也是在美帝拿 phd 的，不是纸上谈兵的那种😂 this Monday 和中文里的“这（周）周一”肯定是两个意思 |
