Hey everyone,
Like many of you, I enjoy a good logic puzzle to break up the workday. I played the Queens game on LinkedIn for a while and found it fun, but I felt the core concept had so much more potential. The single-dimension diagonal rule felt a bit one-dimensional.
So, I spent some weekends building my own take on it: The Enhanced Queens Game.
The key difference is a new third constraint: besides having only one queen per row and column, you must also have only one per colored region. This completely changes the dynamic and opens up a new level of spatial reasoning challenges that the original can't offer.
I also added some quality-of-life features I wished the original had, like real-time conflict highlighting (the queen turns red if it breaks a rule).
